We're now looking for a Branded Technical Manager to join our Technical team. This is a newly created role with real impact. You'll act as the technical guardian of our branded ranges, ensuring the products we bring to customers meet the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
Working closely with suppliers, technical teams and commercial colleagues, you'll turn complex technical insight into clear, confident decisions that protect both consumer safety and the Holland & Barrett brand.
Working arrangement:
Full-time, permanent
We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices which will be a combination of Nuneaton (or another designated location such as Burton) for a minimum of 2 days per week. #LI-Hybrid
Burton presence is a requirement in addition to Nuneaton.
- Lead the technical approval and onboarding of branded suppliers, ensuring robust due diligence and product safety standards
- Act as the technical interface between Holland & Barrett and branded suppliers, building trusted relationships and challenging where needed
- Maintain technical oversight of branded products throughout their lifecycle, identifying risks and intervening early where issues emerge
- Investigate and manage serious complaints, incidents and quality concerns, coordinating supplier investigations and defining corrective actions
- Monitor and analyse technical performance data, including complaints and incidents, to identify trends and prevent recurring issues
- Translate complex technical or regulatory information into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders, enabling confident commercial decision-making
- Partner with Regulatory teams to support compliance assessments across food, supplements and cosmetics categories
- Contribute to technical governance forums and support cross-functional collaboration across Technical, Regulatory and Commercial teams
- A degree in food science or a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in food, supplements, cosmetics or related sectors
- Experience in technical, quality, regulatory or risk-based roles within food, health or beauty industries
- Strong understanding of supplier due diligence, product safety and compliance frameworks
- The ability to analyse data, identify emerging risks and translate insights into preventative action
- Confidence explaining complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Calm, confident decision-making — especially when managing incidents or high-risk situations
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build constructive relationships with suppliers and internal teams
