We're looking for a Category Manager (Buyer) to join our Food team. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape what customers see, choose and trust – bringing the right products to life in a fast-evolving and increasingly competitive wellness market.

Location & working arrangement

Nuneaton,
Full-time, hybrid working with an expectation of 2 days per week in the office (Monday & Tuesday) 

• Own and deliver the buying strategy for your category, from concept through to customer
• Curate ranges that reflect emerging food and wellness trends while meeting customer needs
• Analyse performance, identify opportunities and drive profitable category growth
• Lead supplier relationships, including negotiations, joint business planning and funding
• Build and execute promotional and trade plans that deliver strong commercial outcomes
• Lead range reviews to ensure the right balance of innovation, quality and value
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Supply Chain, Marketing and Digital teams
• Manage stock effectively, reducing risk and improving availability

• Experience in buying, category management or Account Management within Retail/FMCG
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with experience managing suppliers
• Commercial ownership mindset – comfortable driving performance and making decisions
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to turn insight into action
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams
• Curiosity for food, health and wellness trends
• A customer-first mindset – you think about what people need and how to deliver it
