Internal Auditor (38807)
Location: This role is based at our Nuneaton Head Office and requires a core on‑site presence due to the collaborative nature of the work, with travel as required.
Internal Audit at H&B isn't a back‑office safety net. It's a team that helps the business stay sharp - spotting blind spots, challenging assumptions, and making sure we're operating as well as we think we are.
We're growing the function because the business is growing, and with that comes more complexity, more opportunity, and more need for a team that can cut through noise and focus on what actually matters. That's where you come in.
Your work goes straight to the Exec Team and the Board. The recommendations you make will influence how key parts of the business run. If you want impact and visibility, this role offers both.
You'll report into the Director of IA and work with leaders who know when to support you and when to give you space. From there, you'll partner with senior stakeholders, lead meaningful audits, and help shape an IA function that's becoming more agile, more strategic and more impactful.
If you want a role where the work is meaningful, the exposure is real and the learning curve is steep (in a good way), you'll find plenty here.

- Recommendations land well and are implemented by the business
- The IA function continues to evolve through regular, practical improvement ideas
- A positive, energetic audit presence helps promote strong governance across H&B
- Stakeholders proactively engage IA and seek involvement earlier in the process
What you'll need?
- A curious, questioning mindset that naturally looks for how things really work
- Strong judgement and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
- The ability to turn findings into clear, practical actions the business can use
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly
- Commercial awareness - understanding not just the risk, but the business impact
